As a recent graduate of George Mason, I have completed my Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry with a concentration in Biochemistry, as of May 2019. I enjoy work that would employ my skills of researching and articulating my findings to others, which I have tailored in my numerous opportunities as an undergraduate. These include my times working independently in a research lab, conducting inquiries in courses outside of my scientific field in my honors courses, presenting these findings at conferences at the local and national level, and working as a learning assistant for two years in two different physics courses. Due to these prior experiences, I have acquired over three years of experience of conducting both qualitative and quantitative research. In addition to this, I have gained the proficiency of compiling this information into a comprehensive analytical reports, presentations, or other means of communicating the information, such as posters and infographics. One of my favorite and most valuable aspects that I have learned over the past few years working in research and as a learning assistant, is the ability to convey difficult and complex information to an audience that may not be familiar with it or are in the need to learn about it themselves. This requires me to have a deeper understanding of the topic at hand, be able to approach it from various angles or provide different methods of explanation, as well as having excellent communication skills.
