Hi I am Allison Bolas, I'm a sophomore at Miami University in the Farmer School of Business, pursuing my Bachelors degree in Finance. I am interested in pursuing a career in investment banking or budget analyst. My passion for finance comes from growing up in a house with foster kids that weren't financially stable enough to live on their own. Working in the business school, I have obtained great skills that include Microsoft Excel, Python, SQL, Access, Word, financial recording and reporting, and strong collaboration/teamwork. I have taken a variety of classes that helped me further understand and develop these skills such as accounting, business computing (CSE), and more. One of my accomplishments at Miami University was participating in the NextGen Fuel Client Challenge. For the client challenge I worked in a team that collaborated well together to create a potential solution for the company. I used creativity, databases to gather information, and effective communication to come up with an effective solution with my team.Through my work experience I have gotten the chance to further develop skills in looking at financial reports for accuracy while interning at James Martin Associates. I also got the chance to work in the customer service business while working at Jamba Juice which helped my time-management, active listening, and problem solving. Some of my other interests include being an active member in Delta Delta Delta where I can expand my networking and volunteer to give back to the community. I also love to travel and be outside.
