About Allison Brantley
Former newspaper reporter and experienced digital marketing and content expert with a proven track record of managing comprehensive projects for a wide variety of clients. After spending close to a decade working at various newspapers across North and South Carolina, I transitioned to digital marketing in 2012. Because of my background in copy, I started out as an SEO copywriter and social media strategist before being thrust into the world of project/account management, where I have more or less remained ever since. Most recently, I served as the account supervisor at Eastern Standard and oversaw the health and wellness of all of their accounts, mentored project managers on their projects, and assisted their business development department in uncovering new leads and ongoing opportunities. Prior to joining ES, I worked as director of project management at a digital advocacy agency, managing several digital marketing projects for nonprofits and foundations such as Everytown for Gun Safety, Greenpeace, Vote Run Lead, Narrative 4, The Global Teacher Prize, The San Francisco Foundation, and The California Wellness Foundation. Additionally, I served as the account lead for Everytown (2.5 years) and The California Wellness Foundation (1 year). I also spent more than 5 years at Click Optimize Creative Group, later acquired by Healthgrades, managing more than 50 website projects from their initial stages through launch. In addition to my project management duties, I served as Healthgrades' designated digital content strategist and managed all of their major web writing endeavors, including a 2,900-page ($1.2 million) content project for Dignity Health, which was our largest content strategy project to date. While I take great pride in the overarching success of these projects, the biggest reward for me is seeing the client’s satisfaction and internal team members’ positive reactions following the launch of a site and/or content project. There are several traits that contribute to my being a good account/project manager. What I believe to be the most important is my ability to empathize with clients and internal team members and my leveraging of these relationships to develop meaningful and impactful digital marketing solutions.Causes I'm passionate about include gun violence prevention, gender equality, immigration rights, and the promotion of diversity and inclusion in the South and beyond.
