Senior Learning Abroad Advisor
Current- Advise 25+ outbound learning abroad students per year on program selection, academics, scholarships, passports, and identity concerns abroad.- Advise 25+ inbound exchange students per year on the application process, immigration requirements, academic policies and procedures, housing, health insurance, and student support concerns.- Manage 20 reciprocal educational exchange programs (REEPs), including tracking exchange balances, coordination with university partners abroad and within the university including academic colleges, admissions, residence life, international student and scholar services.- Assist Assistant Director of University Partnerships in identification and creation of new exchange programs, and support colleges in the implementation of new exchange programs.- Coordinate and execute promotional and educational events for students, including 60+ Learning Abroad 101s per year, as well as Learning Abroad 201s, scholarship workshops, pre-departure orientations, REEP Welcome Sessions, REEP Info Sessions, and Learning Abroad fairs.- Manage learning abroad program brochures, application and form templates for 55 internal programs and 9 affiliated providers, and 500+ student records in ViaTRM.- Recruit, select, train and advise the Global Guides, a group of 13-16 Learning Abroad alumni and peer ambassadors that support Learning Abroad advising and events.- Coordinate learning abroad placeholder course registration for 30-50 students per term.- Train new advising and support staff on learning abroad program offerings, scholarships, software, and advising techniques in collaboration with the Assistant Director for Learning Abroad.
