Allison Clayton practices in the Trusts & Estates Practice Group of Sherman Atlas Sylvester & Stamelman, where she counsels clients regarding all aspects of their personal lifetime and testamentary wealth transfer planning. She has extensive experience preparing complex instruments for high net worth clients to implement their estate planning strategies while minimizing transfer taxes, including wills, revocable trusts, insurance trusts, grantor retained annuity trusts and dynasty trusts. In addition, Allison counsels executors and trustees regarding their fiduciary obligations when administering estates and trusts. She guides fiduciaries through all aspects of estate and trust administration, including the probate process, the preparation of federal and state estate tax returns, fiduciary income tax returns and formal and informal accountings, and federal and state estate tax audits.Allison also helps clients fulfill their charitable goals through the creation of donor advised funds, charitable split-interest trusts or charitable foundations.
