I help people get incredibly fit in just a few minutes a day.

During this study abroad, we helped budding entrepreneurs in Malawi, one of the ten poorest countries in the world, start their own businesses. My project for this internship consisted of helping these farmers turn their cornstalks into charcoal. Because all food is cooked by fire in Malawi, and firewood is hard to come by, people often go into debt to buy firewood. Malawi is also highly deforested, which leads to erosion, poorer soil, poor crop yields, and eventually on to starvation. We taught two villages how to turn their cornstalks, a waste agricultural byproduct, into charcoal, and now they can use it themselves and sell the excess for profit. Our project was presented to the President of Malawi as a means to stop deforestation within the country, and it's being applied throughout Malawi.

We explored the effectiveness and importance of supply chains in creating opportunities for micro-entrepreneurs in countries around the world. By far, one of my greatest passions in life is helping others learn to achieve their dreams.
