I have had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of communities to help build effective plans and strategies for the future. I have worked on all aspects of the planning process from community involvement to graphic design to policy writing. I specialize in long range planning initiatives, particularly those with an urban design focus.SOME OF MY PROJECT EXPERIENCE• I worked with the City of Orillia, Ontario to develop a Parks, Recreation, Culture Master Plan that focuses on supporting healthier, more active lifestyles through the development of community park, recreation, culture and trail resources. Recognized by the New York Upstate Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA), the plan received the 2014 Honor Award of Excellence for Research and Communication.• I served as the project manager for the Abu Dhabi Public Realm Design Manual for the Abu Dhabi Urban Planning Council. The Plan provides policies and guidelines for all parks, waterfronts, streetscapes and public spaces for the development of a world-class public realm. The International Society of City and Regional Planners (ISOCARP) awarded the Plan a First Prize Award for Excellence in the Category of District Planning/Urban Design.• I managed the development of a Cultural Master Plan to integrate arts, culture, heritage and volunteerism into the decision making process for the Town of Halton Hills, ON.
