After returning from maternity leave, I have transitioned to part time controller for Etai's Food, Inc., Restaurant Holding Company LLC, and Izzio Central Market (no longer overseeing Izzio Artisan Bakery). All responsibilities remain the same, overseeing a 3 person team and reporting directly to ownership.

U Baron Group encompasses Izzio Artisan Bakery LLC, Etai's Food, Inc., Izzio Central Market, and Restaurant Holding Company LLC. Directly reporting to ownership, responsibilities include oversight of a 4 person accounting and payroll team, daily cash management, financial reporting, bank reporting and audit oversight, and preparation or review of month end procedures and reconciliations. Managed the implementation of a new cloud based accounting system for Restaurant Holding Company.

U Baron Group is a privately owned holding company that includes the following food wholesale and restaurant companies: Izzio Artisan Bakery, Etai’s Catering Company, and Restaurant Holding Company (eight locations). Reporting directly to the VP Finance/Corporate Controller, current responsibilities include oversight of the corporate accounting and general ledger team, review/preparation of weekly and monthly reconciliations and monthly financial reports for Restaurant Holding Company, continuous evaluation of internal controls and processes, oversight of payroll and employee benefit processes, and weekly loan reporting requirements.

During my time at Grant Thornton, I was in charge of leading financial statement audits for medium to large private companies as well as a couple of public clients, including large accelerated filers with SOX audit requirements. The industries I served during my time at GT included commercial transportation, manufacturing/wholesale distribution, food retail, and real estate / construction. In addition to audit work, I was involved in a consulting project and provided mortgage loan consulting services to a Fortune 50 financial institution. As part of this job, I was directly involved in this client's transition to outsourcing by personally training an off-shore group of the client's employees.
