Researched, analyzed, and developed a strategic plan detailing policy and advocacy strategies to address de-facto disenfranchisement of California voters with criminal history.

Development & Communications Coordinator, September 2009 - October 2011Development Intern, January - May 2008 A leadership incubator for young Kenyan women from underprivileged backgrounds, which has received recognition from the United Nations, the White House, and the Ford Foundation. • Built and led the fundraising, communication, and development efforts of the organization, facilitating a growth in budget from $90,000 in 2011 to $800,000 2013.• Developed and managed the monitoring, learning, and evaluation efforts through qualitative and quantitative data collection, organization, and analysis of more than 300 stakeholders. • Produced community events on topics ranging from women in technology to art education, in partnership with organizations, companies, and government in Nairobi and San Francisco. • Developed and led mentoring and leadership training sessions with young women ages 13-35.

A startup nonprofit organization democratizing access to web data by providing an open repository of web crawl data that can be universally accessed and analyzed.• Researched and reported on current pressing issues in technology and data policy and identified potential points of involvement for Common Crawl in advocacy.• Generated a fundraising plan identifying methods of diversifying revenue streams to include foundation, corporate, and individual support. • Managed projects to mobilize community and resources in support of the organization, including assisting with producing and publicizing a video and inaugural newsletter; generating blog posts; and managing an online code contest.
