Led a school improvement initiative that included teacher and administrator training, the creation of a reading remediation program, and the formation of a community outreach program. Established and trained a network of young women who promote leadership, educational success, and healthy relationships. Trained hundreds of community members in the prevention of HIV/AIDs, violence against women, and child abuse. Collaborated with international NGO on public health initiatives designed to reduce diarrhea, cholera, and other common health problems.

Researched and analyzed state and federal education policy. Wrote policy briefs for publication and distribution to local, state, and federal officials. Conducted policy scans and literature reviews relevant to education policy and development opportunities. Prepared reports for government relations and supported the organization's advocacy activities. Managed social media for government relations. Completed over 40 hours of project management training based on PMBOK standards.

Taught English 015, “Introduction to Rhetoric and Composition.” Content covered all aspects of the writing process, including developing a research question, refining a thesis, using rigorous logic, carrying out legitimate research, and tailoring a message to a specific audience. Designed and led participatory lectures in a student-centered environment. Facilitated challenging discussions to foster critical thinking skills.

Assisted Director of Graduate Studies with all activities related to the English master’s program. Supported Director of Undergraduate Studies with all operations related to undergraduate studies in English. Designed and edited departmental publications. Wrote for and maintained website.

Provided research assistance and administrative support to Department of Theology faculty and staff.
