Serving as a strategic liaison for a portfolio of roughly 90 senior living Community Customers. Bridging the gap between customers, Senior Living Advisors, and the families we serve. Working collaboratively with Community Customers, focusing on increasing win ratio. Understanding each customer’s unique position within their market, and working to help them utilize that to achieve desired outcomes. Responsible for coaching/mentoring/ developing SE region of CSM’s through bi-monthly “support squad” meetings. Interviewing applicants for CSM role, to provide peer-to-peer insight on prospective hires. Consistently meeting or exceeding monthly and quarterly goals, while performing additional duties.

Advised families in need of senior care on the best available options for their loved ones, providing consultation, education, and step-by-step guidance. Partnered with senior living and home care providers to assist families in need. Led the Georgia team in quota achievement year-over-year for three consecutive years. Managed a database of 1000+ families, structuring follow up to meet their specific needs and stage of process.Worked closely with Atlanta-area senior living communities to learn about all they had to offer and match families with settings that best fit their needs. Collaboration and relationship-building with sales and marketing leaders at senior living communities, deepening their understanding of the needs of the families I referred and paving the way for an excellent family experience.

An ongoing and continual rollout, oversight and driving of a company-wide culture change at Pathway Senior Living’s Galewood community. Hiring, motivating, leading and coaching/training of an entire wellness department of one nursing manager & roughly 20 team members, as well as the community life (activity) department. Blending & coordinating outside providers coming into the community, including home health, hospice, therapies & all other ancillaries. Making a positive difference in our resident’s lives daily, and generally warring against loneliness, hopelessness & boredom to help them live the most high quality and meaning-filled lives that they possibly can.• Oversaw & maintained the transition from a paper-based wellness office to a digital system.• Maintaining staffing within budget at a PRD ratio.• Continual development and implementation of new and innovative ways to train & motivate team.• Experience in hands-on treatment process for bed bug infestation in a senior living environment.• ‘Management’ by delegation – empowering team to broaden their scope.- Training & orientation of 10 others hired for the Life Enrichment Manager position at other communities within Pathway Senior Living to date.- Co-creation of 2012 company-wide community life programming, focused on exposing residents & staff to new cultures.

-Initiating and carrying out ‘Memory Care Services’ initiatives new to Lexington.-Managing activities staff, C.N.A. staff and daily operations of a 75-bed unit.-Working as a team with the clinical manager on the memory care unit.-Managing and carrying out weekly care plan conferences with resident’s family members.-Counseling and educating resident’s family members on Alzheimer’s disease and dementia, as well as offering one-on-one support and resources for families struggling to cope with their loved one’s diagnosis.-Recruiting and training new memory care staff members, both clinical and non-clinical, in the practice and philosophy of “person-centered care”.-Coaching and supporting all staff members on my unit on a daily basis.-Designing and delivering ‘inservice’ education pieces on a vast array of topics.-Creating a monthly activities program for individuals at various levels of cognitive decline (including sensory and relaxation activities for those in end –stage Alzheimer’s.)-Completing MDS and Social Services paperwork on individual residents.-Assessing residents to determine what stage or level of cognitive decline they are currently at.-Discharge planning when needed, as well as emergency discharge when situations require it.

-Non-clinical manager and social worker for the 64-bed, long-term care unit.-Working as a partner with the long-term care unit’s director of nursing to effectively manage the long-term care unit.-Providing discharge planning to long-term care residents when needed.-Managing and carrying out weekly care plan conferences with resident’s family members.-Designing and delivering ‘inservice’ education pieces on a vast array of topics.-Interviewing, hiring and training new activities staff members. -Creating a rich and varied monthly activities calendar for the long-term care unit.-Managing activities staff members to ensure that the activities program maintains a high level of quality.-Scheduling staffing for entire activities department (approx. 15 staff members) for a period of about three months to meet the needs of the entire skilled nursing facility.-Comprehensive MDS completion.Additional Projects:-Volunteer recruitment, retention and coordination-Created, organized and moderated a support group for family members of residents suffering with Alzheimer’s or dementia.-Worked on various fundraising projects benefiting our building’s events for residents & families, as well as larger entities, such as the Alzheimer’s Association

-Monthly activity planning, scheduling and coordination, as well as event and party planning, all designed to meet the needs of a population of patients at varying stages of cognitive decline.-Responsible for encouraging family involvement in their loved one’s activities, as well as helping to educate family members on the progression and nuances of Alzheimer’s disease.

-Planning a monthly activity calendar for residents with Alzheimer’s.-Conducting planned activities both in group, and one-on-one settings; meaning that the ability level and personality of each resident had to be taken into account and activities planned accordingly.-Assisting the community’s Executive Director in administrative tasks.-Acted as front desk receptionist when needed, which meant being responsible for positively and professionally representing Habersham House at guest’s initial entrance, as well as giving tours of the community.
