Allison (Alli) Rogers brings two decades of experience spanning the public, nonprofit, private, and academic sectors and helping large institutions implement sustainability programs and policies. Her diverse background includes serving as a Congressional staffer, state government policy director, short documentary producer, as well as a sustainability consultant to numerous clients, including Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and the U.S. House of Representatives.Ms. Rogers served as Director of Policy for the Rhode Island Department of Administration -- Rhode Island's central state agency -- for five years under two different governors. She coordinated legislative and policy development on energy, technology, budgetary, diversity, personnel, regulatory reform, and procurement matters. She worked closely with the RI Office of Energy Resources on energy policy focused on increasing the state’s use of renewable energy and decreasing the state’s carbon emissions. She helped strengthen RI's climate change efforts by representing the Department of Administration on the RI Executive Climate Change Coordinating Council and advocating for climate solutions across Rhode Island’s government agencies.Ms. Rogers previously served as Executive Director for Speaker Pelosi's Green the Capitol Office within the U.S. House of Representatives during Speaker Pelosi's first term as Speaker. She designed and implemented sustainability-focused programs for Members of Congress, their staff, and visitors to Capitol Hill with the goal of decreasing the carbon footprint for the U.S. House of Representatives.Ms. Rogers began her career in the Harvard Office for Sustainability (then known as the Harvard Green Campus Initiative), where she worked for four years and coordinated energy efficiency and sustainability programs for Harvard College, Harvard Law School, Harvard Business School and Harvard Real Estate Services. Ms. Rogers trained and mentored over 100 graduate students and undergraduate students to become sustainability advocates implementing conservation and carbon-reducing programs.Ms. Rogers recently served as a Trustee for the Providence Country Day School, well as on the boards for the Center for Arts and Learning and Monteverdi Music School in Vermont. She previously served on the Miss Rhode Island Scholarship Program Board, where she also served as the volunteer Executive Director and supported young women's professional, academic, artistic, and leadership development.
