I was responsible for the implementation and management of a comprehensive, risk-based privacy program, working across a variety of disciplines and time zones to ensure compliance with applicable privacy law, including, but not limited to, GDPR, CCPA and PIPEDA, for our corporate and retail travel brands. I oversaw a team who mapped all business processes and applications which process personal data not only to ensure regulatory compliance, but to create a culture of compliance. I supported day-to-day business operations with suggestions for process improvement and responded directly customer questions or concerns. I ran investigations of potential data breaches originating in the Americas and used those learnings to keep improving the privacy program.
