This role was incredibly dynamic and exciting. RATP Dev was in the process of contract negotiations, with CapMetro, and labor negotiations with ATU Local 1091. I prepared weekly and monthly executive level reports, managed the daily agendas and schedule booking for two executives, and participated in senior level meetings and labor negotiations. I served as a liaison with CapMetro staff and worked on the events committee to celebrate and support the bus drivers and mechanics under RATP leadership.

I wore many hats as a General Manager, overseeing daily operations and personnel for multiple locations. I was responsible for HR related work, staff training and development, organizational strategy, inventory management, vendor relationships, and event production.

After a break in coffee, I returned to this wonderful neighborhood cafe - integrating myself into the established flow of regulars and honing my instincts for hospitality and staff management. I was responsible for vendor relationships, inventory management, and bookkeeping.

I worked as a server and bartender with the TL family before assuming administrative responsibilities in 2011. I was responsible for reconciling accounts, streamlining office processes, and managing vendor payments.

I worked at this neighborhood Starbucks throughout college and afterward as I settled into adult life. Albany Park is one Chicago's most diverse neighborhoods where its business community reflects its ethnic community. This thriving area is home to generations of Lebanese, Persian, Mexican, Korean, Swedish, Eritrean and Filipino immigrants and business owners. I learned a great deal about the nuances of hospitality as it relates to navigating different cultural traditions and norms.
