TPL Lighting is a commercial lighting agency. A small business needs a reliable person to take care of the office and the people in charge of the office. That’s what I did. I wore many hats at TPL and that’s how I learned a lot! I took care of 4 executives, the reception desk and managed the office. A day in my life at TPL involved taking care of people and looking after details: expenses, invoices, calendars, phone calls and accounts. This role was an excellent training ground for a future executive assistant.

Total Rehab is an interdisciplinary sports medicine centre in Ajax. It’s also the place where I learned how to be an administrative assistant! At Total Rehab, I was at the front desk, making sure clients were welcomed and taken care of and doing the administration that keeps an office running well. This included calendar management, office equipment maintenance, invoicing, billing, filing and making decisions that helped our office run in a cost-effective manner.
