CU GOLD's Core Leadership Program is a semester long leadership development program consisting of of a leadership retreat in the mountains of Colorado, a community service project, and weekly seminars devoted to a variety of leadership topics including understanding personal values, diversity, and different leadership styles. Participants leave with a greater sense of self-awareness, challenge assumptions, experience leadership through service, and understand diversity's fundamental role in leadership. Our goal is for students to leave with a sense of urgency and motivation to continue their leadership journey. As CLP Coordinator, my responsibilities include facilitating weekly sessions and a semester retreat focused on leadership development, tracking attendance and completion of requirements, holding weekly office hours, and building meaningful relationships with participants. Beyond the Core Leadership Program, being on the board also entails assisting the Marketing Director with all CLP and CU-GOLD marketing to recruit participants and maintain our visibility and engagement on campus.
