I am a dedicated and enthusiastic communicator, captivated by stories and how we use them to build ourselves and our world. It’s my job to pick out the most inspiring and engaging threads of your organization’s story, use them to strengthen your community, and galvanize your audience to help you reach your goals and change the world. I am a problem solver. I truly believe that there are at least three solutions to every problem, and I know how to find those solutions. I am resourceful, and never happy to stop at “I don’t know.” If I don’t know how to solve a problem, or get started on a new project, then I will figure it out. (I’ll probably start by finding some background reading.)I am a planner. I can break down a project into the minutest tasks, using project management software, a spreadsheet, or a notepad and pen. But even when I am arranging the minutiae of a project I don’t lose track of the big picture, or the drive to reach that ultimate goal. I am empathetic. I will listen to your audience, and my colleagues, and imagine how they might be feeling, what they might need, and come up with ways to meet those needs.I am curious. I will ask questions.I am ready to pitch in and help. No matter what my role is, it is always my job to help make my colleague’s work easier.
