In order to gain a holistic experience and view of the Public Relations and Advertising industry, the Fellowship provided work experience in multiple companies. During the Fellowship, I had the opportunity to be involved with everything from brainstorming to pitching, all the while gaining knowledge and insight from seasoned professionals.

I was one of 20 student leaders who represented a wide variety of student organizations and disciplines on campus. The mission of the board is to maintain open dialogue and engage in productive conversation about items of mutual interest. My particular focus was to give insight to issues concerning UGA's Disability Resource Center.

While working under Jackson Spalding, an Atlanta-based public relations agency, our purpose was to promote Grady College. The work of Grady faculty and students were showcased through multiple avenues including new media outlets, events, photography, articles, and much more. This "learning lab" afforded the opportunity for students to gain practical agency experience while aiding their College.

While working in the Marketing Department, I had the opportunity to do the following:-Create a marketing plan for the Emergency Department.-Update and format the 10-paged Oncology Information Booklet, which highlighted each department. This involved the addition of new graphics, textual material and layouts.-Work with numerous doctors to create social media material.-Develop text for mailers and in-hospital communication.
