Communications leader with broad experience in strategic communications, social media, public relations, brand management, content strategy, websites, internal communications and event marketing.I love the opportunity and challenge of developing communications solutions that pair traditional media with our constantly evolving digital landscape. It’s my work happy place.My full-time communications career began at an independent PR firm; getting my start in an agency setting was immensely valuable. I developed strong research and critical thinking skills while securing earned media placements for clients in markets across the country.During the past six years with Ramsey County, I’ve had opportunities to help develop and lead several award-winning projects, including a brand refresh, website launch, communications campaigns and the grand reopening of historic Keller Golf Course. I currently lead a team of communicators that supports the organization’s Information and Public Records Service Team – including elections, assessments and taxpayer services – as well as major enterprise-wide projects. I also lead the development and execution of our social and digital media strategy.Before I got my start in communications, I spent a year traveling the country as an actor and director with North America’s largest touring children’s theatre. Every week, I transformed 60 kids into a fully-memorized musical cast in just five days. It required a lot of flexibility, problem solving and the ability to work under pressure – all skills that continue to serve me well on a daily basis.Outside of work, I enjoy soaking in Minnesota’s beauty, traveling, running, reading, taking far too many pictures of my pets and baking lots of sweets (don’t worry, I like to share with my colleagues).
