Job Summary:Advance the Stern Center’s mission by supporting the communications and marketing efforts through a combination of message and content generation, including electronic and print communications as well as project leadership. Collaborate with others in the organization to achieve brand consistency, coordination of messages, and the highest standards for external communications. Help present the Stern Center’s high level of services and professionalism to external and internal constituencies.Essential Job Duties:• Write and communicate with a meta understanding of SCLL. Facilitate all PR initiatives, write copy, generate articles and stories, and present at events. Learn local media outlets and maintain contact list of media connections. • Anticipate, monitor and recommend opportunities to secure SCLL presence, at relevant regional/national events. Ensure that the SCLL is displayed prominently as a learning resources for parents, educators, pediatricians, and learners of ages and types--locally, regionally and nationally. • Analyze and research customers, current market conditions, competitor information and market requirements to help inform decisions on existing and future products, programs and pricing.• Work in tandem with the Marketing Coordinator to support design of, edit, and ensure accuracy and currency of all communication/marketing materials including blog, web content, flyers, brochures, hard copy and e-newsletters; newspaper, direct mail, radio and TV advertising, press releases, and other projects.• Work with the Marketing Coordinator to update and maintain including all social media channels such as Facebook and Twitter, marketing materials, collateral, SCLL and Building Blocks websites. • Assist with daily operations of marketing, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow. Provide hands-on involvement in a variety of marketing logistics, including event production, scheduling and shipping, collateral coordination.
