Key Responsibilities: -o Programme Management, Technical Design Authority and Quality Assurance for all IT initiated projects sponsored projects, ranging in value from £100K to £5M.o Leadership and Management of multi-disciplined project delivery team of over 60 staff consisting of technical consultants, software developers, system engineers, project analysts, project managers and QA team.Notable achievements Include• Successful hardware refresh of 2000 desktops and laptops, introducing Microsoft Windows 7 / Office 2010 in a fully managed and secure configuration, c/w remote application management and deployment. • Introduction and group wide roll out of Microsoft OCS c/w enterprise voice, including subsequent upgrade to Lync and Skype for Business, leading to increased personal efficiency, a reduction in internal travel costs of £100K and greater collaboration across the group and with key business partners • Installation of Virtualisation Platform facilitating migration of over 250 windows servers with a cost avoidance of over £220K. • Introduction of asset management and capacity management enabling better utilisation of the IT estate, allowing accurate financial forecasts and resulting in significant savings in software licences and computer hardware. • Provision of secure connectivity of personal devices to key corporate systems supporting a BYOD model increasing personal productivity and choice with no additional IT cost. • Successful migration of KCOM consumer customers, costing and billing system, from a costly IBM proprietary platform onto a fully supported intel platform with increased performance at reduced operational costs
