Tasting Room Manager
CurrentRustic Roots Winery is a brand new winery in the heart of the Saint Croix River Valley (opened Labor Day 2020). I joined the team a couple months prior to opening to establish protocols and policies, onboard and train the staff, order all initial tasting room supplies and manage wine inventory, and help the leadership team make final pre-opening decisions. Within a few months of opening we also launched our food service component of the business, and I oversee the kitchen and kitchen staff.Now that the winery is open, ongoing duties include day-to-day management of the tasting room, developing in-depth wine and hospitality training programs, inventory management, event planning and execution, management of all tasting room staff, and thinking about big picture items for the future.As of harvest 2021, I am also taking on winemaking roles, primarily in the realms of creative development and quality control.rusticroots.wine
