The GSA seeks to provide events and programming to meet professional, educational, and social needs as well as improve the overall graduate student experience at the University of Texas at Dallas.- Worked closely with Office of Graduate Education to found organization in 2017. - Interact with UTD administration to raise awareness about issues facing graduate students on campus.- Planned and hosted a Networking Event for Graduate Professional Week attended by over 60 students. Brought in two VPs from a company in Dallas to give practical advice about professional networking to better prepare UTD graduates for expanding their network and job hunting. - Regularly organize and host social events for graduate students from all disciplines to encourage interdepartmental networking.- Co-sponsor Fourth Friday Research Presentations with the Graduate Studies office, a forum where graduate students can sign up to give practice presentations and receive feedback from peers across all disciplines.

Mentored a high school student in the lab for a summer. She investigated the impact of insertion speed on force profiles during implantation of cortical devices in brain tissue in order to determine optimal surgical parameters.

Investigating the mechanics of supercoiling in polymer line and its applications to mathematical models of supercoiling in DNA

- Shadowed prosthetists and orthotists during clinical hours- Worked in the fabrication lab to create custom orthotic and prosthetic pieces- Observed clinical trials of DARPA-funded myolectric prosthetic hand

Give campus tours to prospective students and families.

Work the front desk to greet visiting families and check them in for tours. Answer questions from prospective students and their families via email and phones regarding admission to the University of Rochester.
