Economic development solutions are often a combination of strategic thinking and tactical implementation. Chabin customizes its services to the needs of the economic development professional, as well as the area, to create initiatives and solutions for their competitive advantage. Allison was the primary contact for site consultants and businesses, resulting in nearly 5,200 new and 800 retained jobs. She led the restructuring of the business attraction efforts at the Fresno County EDC and implemented state-of-the-art tools for enhanced responsiveness to clients: Comparative Demographics, Site Selection Core Database (IEDC standards), Real Estate Database, Comparative Operating Cost Analysis, and Incentive Calculator; award winning at state and national levels. Allison established “Red Teams” of signature-level authorities to meet with prospects, including a specialized “EDC Workforce Red Team”. Rsults from were achieved in securing grants from USDA, Workforce Investment Corporation, and California Technology Trade & Commerce Agency while managing and encouraging ten employees in her department.

Serving as Allison's first economic devleopment position, she learned quickly how to prepare competitive proposals, organize site visits, and partner with regional organizations. The result: attacting over 2,500 new jobs. Her success grabbed the attention of Richard Machado who stole her away to work for the Fresno County EDC.Allison's observations of a stong local business retenttion program (on a small budget) at the Madera IDA is the foundation for your approach to effective BRE progam development today.

Start-up animal health company for bovine and equine markets where Allison set up distribution in 20+ countries. Interesting import-export adventure to expand the availablility of world-class products that improve production and profitability.

Allison managed sales territories in California and Oregon for crop protection products, wrorking in pears, apples, potatoes, cotton, fresh grapes, and horticulture markets. She earned national recognition as "League of Excellence" winner for top sales.

Allison managed County exhibits and Agri-Fair exhibits to support the promotion of California Counties and agricultural commodities. In addition to managing the development and judging of exhibits, she organized a large group of volunteers for fair visitors to access an "information bureau" and launched special contests promoting agricultural commodity festivals throughout the state.
