I assist Representative Farrington [who is Chair of Tax Policy and Chair of Roads and Economic Development] in Tax Policy Committee, Roads and Economic Development Committee, Tax Legislation, and Road Funding Legislation. I research all aspects of legislation that come before the Representative and I ensure the office runs smoothly.

I advise Representative Farrington's constituents on how to best solve their concerns and answer their many questions. I also manage the Representative's schedule. In addition, I've learned more about taxes from the Chairman of Tax Committee (Jeff Farrington) than any course I've ever taken at MSU.

I code Michigan High School Curriculum Course offerings to the Secondary School Course Classification Systems. Through decision rules and close analyzation, the MCER team is able to improve inter-rater reliability throughout coders in relation to the Secondary School Course Classification Systems. These codes will then be used to analyze High School Transcripts in relation to the Michigan Merit Curriculum. The analyzation skills I have gained through coding the similarities and differences of numerous Michigan High School course offerings have allowed me to expand my analytic background in work, academic settings, and my own research projects.

As an intern at the Office of Senator Colbeck, I have confirmed my passion for law and the future I will achieve in and after law school. I assist Senator Colbeck and his staff in constitute affairs, legislation, tributes, and research. I am gaining valuable communication techniques while fulfilling the needs of the 7th District in which Senator Colbeck serves. Senator Colbeck thinks outside the box in influencing the Senate and sticking true to the principles in which he was voted in upon.

Through my internship at Family Counseling & Psychiatry, I have gained an amazing experience in an outpatient mental health facility. I initiated and managed an ADHD study, as well as mentored a child with psychological disorders. By working one-on-one with the psychiatrist and psychologists I have gained knowledge about psychology in the real world.

I helped make the world a better place, one drink at a time.
