eDISCOVERY SKILLS MODULE (ONE UNIT - SPRING)[Prerequisite: Civil Procedure I; Prerequisite or Corequisite: E-Discovery (two-unit doctrinal course)]​Understanding the mechanics of electronic discovery is a core competency for Twenty-first Century litigators. This innovative, one-unit (13 hour, online) course is offered on a pass/fail basis. Students take the course online, completing a multiple choice/free writing quiz after each hour. Successful completion of the quiz and a minimum score attainment is required to pass the course. The eDiscovery skills module is available to students who are currently enrolled in or have taken the two-unit eDiscovery doctrinal course. This online module will arm students with a competitive technological edge in today’s challenging legal marketplace. Students who complete and pass this course will learn: Foundational IT concepts for lawyers; Basic Practical Skills for meet and confer conferences; technological solutions to common discovery issues; different discovery perspectives of the lawyer, client and vendor; and how to leverage these resources upon graduation for client success​.
