I had the great opportunity to teach the Cost and Managerial Accounting Undergraduate course at the College of Business at Idaho State University. My Internship at Madison Memorial Hospital in Rexburg Idaho was a great experience for me to see some of the day-to-day workings as an accountant. My project was to convert their existing DOS database for their Fixed Assets to their new intranet database. I also found the fixed assets not recorded during the year of conversion, calculated depreciation and then reconciled the accounts. I finished my project ahead of schedule so I volunteered to teach excel trainings for the hospital managers. I organized and taught two beginner and two intermediate workshops in Excel. We covered the basics, differences in the 2010 version, organizing and formatting data with tables, and analyzing data with pivot-tables and pivot-charts. We also discussed macros, formatting for printing, security, data importing/exporting, and any questions they had. I also did several 1 on 1 tutoring sessions with individuals in the management teams.

I have had the great opportunity to work as a landscaper for GreenSpace Landscapes in Driggs, Idaho. The project is complex and requires several groups. This allowed for leadership opportunities. I sought to learn each job and help others understand their job.
