Reflecting on my Experience with Macys: Program Ends June 2023 As a participant in Macy’s Store Management Executive Development Program (EDP), I gained hands-on experience & developed key business skills necessary to run a multi-million dollar retail business. Through personalized learning & on-the-job training, I developed a global view of the retail landscape & am prepared to rise through the ranks of a Fortune 500 company. During the 2-year program, I experienced four unique store management positions with multiple mentors & support to prepare for future leadership opportunities. In my first rotation, I built foundational skills necessary to service customers, lead a team, and drive sales. In my second rotation, I learned what it takes to make stores easy and exciting for customers to shop. In my Omni Operations role, I focused on overseeing the arrival and departure of shipments to the store. Finally, in the Business Administration rotation, I gained direct experience with human resources and talent management functions for the store, with the goal of creating an engaged and profitable store culture.I also developed my business skills & strategic planning abilities. I analyzed trends, identified business opportunities, & executed strategies to drive sales growth. Through these experiences, I created customer-focused selling environments that drove sales and profits.
