My passion is to learn and grow in the education program while gaining experience along the way. My goals are to earn a Bachelor of Arts in Education and move on to acquire my Masters degree in counseling. I enrolled in an introduction to education class at Wichita State University to learn more about the education program. Throughout the semester I kept thinking to myself "Is this what I want to do for the rest of my life?". The question ran through my head day after day, that was until the end of the semester. My instructor took my class to Kansas City to help with an after school program. The area we were in was impoverished and the students were better known as trouble makers. Although it does not sound pleasant, that is the day I decided that I wanted to be a teacher. I believe teaching is my calling and I only expect to progress in this field.
