I am always open to learn new things from others around me or just about myself personally. Whether it is something school-related, dance-related, or just new information, I use that knowledge to grow as a person. Stepping into the leadership role of captain on the University of Toledo Dance Team really allowed me to expand my leadership qualities and push myself into leading a team. With being an Organizational and Leadership in Management Major, I believe the qualities I contained from captain such as communication, responsibility, organization, and reliability will help me throughout my college years and beyond when stepping into the workforce. While also being involved in dance team, I am a member of Women in Business Leadership that aids in my networking opportunities and leadership. Currently, I am employed as a dance instructor at the The Edge Dance Complex. While I mainly teach dance steps, I am also teaching honesty, teamwork, communication, and creativity to my students each week. I have also worked as the Social Media Manager at my studio which allowed myself to gain knowledge in the digital side of marketing and the importance of social media. With gaining internship opportunities, I hope to grow my understanding of Organizational Leadership and Marketing to better set me up for the workplace.
