Hello, thank you for taking the time to learn about me and my passions! My name is Ally and I just recently graduated with a masters’ degree in Urban and Regional Planning with a specialization in Planning for Developing Areas, specifically an international-context at Florida State University. I received by bachelor's degree at FSU as well, and graduated with a degree in International Affairs where I spent time exploring cultures around the world, creating awareness around what it means to be a "Global Citizen" and was a part of the FSU Global Citizen Certificate Program. As I became more aware of my passions for social-change and different backgrounds, the field of Social Innovation and Entreprenuership found me at the perfect time. Through my courses in this field and my current internship at the Social Innovation and Entreprenuership CoLab, an "Adaptive Leadership Institute", I have learned how to combine my multifaceted skill-sets to become a change-maker in my community and beyond. At the SIE Colab our team works to reset the current social, environmental, and economic value proposition and I specifically have had the opportunity to develop a leading-edge educational course for lifetime learners aspiring to "lead as a change maker". My time developing the course has provided me with knowledge around human-development and leadership-skills, exploring Jospeh Campbell`s "Hero`s Journey" monomyth and the idea that we are all the "heroes" of our own stories and can use our adversities as our greatest strengths when it comes to realizing our full-potential on a personal, communal, and organizational-topics.Because of my passion for different cultures, in my free-time I enjoy reading, traveling, learning Spanish, photography, practicing yoga, and spending time outdoors. This past summer I had the opportunity to complete my 200 Hour RTT Sacred Heart Yoga Teacher Training in Bali, Indonesia where I cultivated a tool-kit to help both myself and others thrive in their lives.I am a heart-centered individual with the mindset of an explorer, change-maker, and lifetime learner.
