Dog wrangling is the easy part of my job. In addition to that I manage and track the company's inventory, maintain customer relationships, research and analyze customer data, write monthly newsletters, construct blog posts, foster new ideas, collaborate with employees, groom various breeds of dogs and improve the overall health and happiness of my canine clients.

Working with the dogs at Clip n' Clean, I was responsible for their mental and physical well-being. I played with, fed, watered the dogs, also giving medications as needed. Basic cleaning tasks to keep the environment sanitary and safe were a must. In November, I was promoted to a grooming position -- where I learned the intricacies of clipping, cutting maintenance and styling of the variety of canine coats.

Report on all things newsworthy in the city of Astoria, city of Warrenton and the Coast Guard, write stories, conduct interviews, make infographics, pitch story ideas, cooperate with other reporters and editors at the Astorian.

Speak to groups of primary and secondary school students about the wildlife sanctuary, environment, habitats, conservation and human impact. Coordinate and facilitate hands-on learning activities.
