Currently serving as a MI Healthy Climate Corps member, an AmeriCorps program administered by the Office of Climate and Energy in Michigan’s Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy with Groundwork as my host.Increasing capacity for their Access Mi Solar Program, a residential group-buy program.Supporting student leaders to connect them with federal and state resources for their Solar on Schools programs.

Full time barista in the cafe of a sustainable and fair trade coffee business.Recycled customer food waste along with food/container waste created in running the cafe.Encouraged customers to purchase coffee based on their specific tastes and preferences. Kept work area clean and organized, even during rushes.

Became barista trained at a Palestinian Cafe where local produce was used to make traditional and modern Palestinian dishesWelcomed customers and answered questions regarding non traditional menu items and food sources. Operated cash registers and handled cash and card transactions. Provided excellent customer service by responding to inquiries quickly and professionally. Organized workstations efficiently so tasks could be completed quickly during peak hours.

Led a student team research project on carbon sequestration abilities of Northern Michigan aquatic plants. Recorded all experimental observations accurately in a lab notebook following established protocols. Created visual aids such as graphs, charts, tables etc. to present data more effectively. Gained lab experience with elemental analysis technology. Sharpened data analysis skills and gained practical learning experience. Designed graphs using R-Studio to input data.
