My work, as an ESL, Associate Instructor, teacher, and more has enabled me to expand my teaching skills and cultivate stronger best practices within a classroom. I utilized data-driven instruction to individualize instruction to differentiate my teaching for all students. In addition, I conducted ongoing assessments, both summative and formative, of student work. I collaborated with teachers, coaches, and varied specialists to determine how to best support my students in and out of the classroom. Furthermore, I developed a deeper understanding of what needs to take place to allow students to reach their fullest potential.My educational philosophy strongly focuses on equity, community, and a rigorous education. I believe every child should have an equitable education that enables them to become confident lifelong learners. I value and have high academic standards for all students. I ensure that students foster the classroom and school community through social activities and academics that build upon compassion, collaboration skills, empathy, and responsibility. Throughout my past teaching experience, my students made excellent academic achievements through a rigorous educational experience that thrived off self-exploration and inquiry. Additionally, I am driven to work with students and colleagues who are culturally and socially diverse.
