10+ years as a housing inspector, ICC Residential Building Inspector B1 have included observations throughout San Francisco bay area cities, California and western states’ dormitories and federally funded, HUD multifamily housing for building code compliance and for assessments of conditions for capital planning.20+ years as an ICC Building Plans Examiner B3 and ADA compliance assessor for housing, parks, schools, and government offices have required strong quality assurance and project management PMBOK skills to positively coach and mentor architects and construction professionals to develop an inclusive, accessible, code compliant environment. 25+ years as a licensed California Architect, communications include participation in ICC / ANSI A117.1 committees for development of National Standards, participation in California code developments, CA Office of Emergency Services(CAOES), petitions to federal agencies for innovations including matia robotics’ TEK mobility device (currently manufactured in a new factory, in the U.S. matiamobility.com ) and teaching CASp test-preparation to building departments, communicating complex information to diverse audiences. As innovations develop and codes evolve, the built environment is becoming more accessible, better wired, more sustainably powered and plumbed, and seismically safer. I hope to use my 25+ years of experience to contribute to this change and am always open to new opportunities and challenges that align with my values and goals.
