I lead our sustainability strategy setting and drive the company's performance in meeting sustainable business outcomes that support and drive our commercial strategy. This work includes emissions quantification for our companies, products and services, and often those of our customer. A strategic aspect of my team's work is to drive market enablement through strong external partnerships and prospective policy creation for energy transition technology.

Baker Hughes is an energy technology company with operations in over 120 countries. Our innovative technologies and services are making energy safer, cleaner and more efficient for people and the planet. In this role I lead the development and implementation of Baker Hughes’ energy transition strategy. I work with our product companies to develop a portfolio of new energy products and services to help our customers lower carbon emissions while meeting the world’s growing energy needs.

As Executive Director, I led the strategic and corporate direction of the organization in partnership with senior leadership team and the Executive Committee. I oversaw the administration, programs, and implementation of the strategic plan of the organization. Milestones included: o Streamlined and modernized administration processes based on best practices for accounting and human resources; o Created a new strategic plan for the Institute in FY 2017; o Developed and led a high-profile media campaign with a nationally recognized education spokesperson promoting the flagship educational product, Earth Science Week;o Managed a headquarters building renovation to ensure a safe, energy/resource efficient, healthy building for AGI staff and its visitors (LEED Gold level); ando Created an empowered, safety-conscious workforce at the Institute through training and engagement programs.I developed and cultivated resources to ensure the financial health of the organization, ensured equitable pay, competitive benefits, and maintaining a safe, collaborative workplace at AGI’s headquarters. In this role, I developed and cultivated products and services in the areas of geoscience policy, education, emerging critical issues, higher education, workforce development, and the production of scholarly materials for the Institute’s ~260,000 members (50+ member organizations). I served as the publisher of a monthly magazine (EARTH), a global research reference database (GeoRef), educational curricula (K-12), workforce data analytic products, and supporting digital resources. Under my leadership EARTH magazine transitioned to new partnership with Nautilus Publishing as a dedicated channel in the Nautilus digital platform. Additionally, I provided written and oral testimony to Congressional Committees related to natural resource policy, energy production, and geoscience research funding.

The mission of the Georgetown University Program on Science in the Public Interest (SPI) is to provide students with concrete opportunities to address some of the most challenging science and society problems of our time. At SPI, students develop creative and practical solutions through direct dialogue with congressional staff, Members of Congress, journalists, scientists, business leaders, educators and entrepreneurs.SPI provides students with the tools and opportunities to affect change in three major focus areas: Government, Industry, and Community.My role is to provide a world-class educational experience for students and collaborators, where they can develop applied research and policy skills to address real world, global challenges. My classroom content brings project management skills, such as time management, budgeting, cost-benefit analysis, risk analysis, communication skills, and applied thinking, as well as a better understanding of supply chain constraints to the student teams so they can better understand and navigate challenges when tackling team projects - inside or outside of the classroom.

I supported BSEE's mission to promote safety, protect the environment and conserve resources offshore through vigorous regulatory oversight and enforcement. I worked with diverse and thoughtful teams to develop and finalize the Bureau's regulatory agenda, devised and executed strategies for internal and eternal stakeholder engagement, and advised the Director and Department of Interior leadership in on technical, policy and other issues related to offshore energy development on the Outer Continental Shelf. I led strategic planning and future visioning efforts, as well as the major marketing campaigns for the Bureau, while directly supervising all international, congressional, and stakeholder engagement staff within the Office of the Director.

Drove the creation of an energy transition aligned policy portfolio that included: upstream oil and gas issues, geothermal energy development, critical minerals for clean energy technology, energy workforce development, carbon capture and sequestration, and other energy related policy. Notable milestones included policy that was included into bills that passed into law: EISA of 2007, ARRA, CCS-related tax provisions, and national helium policy. I provided oversight and served as a technical advisor to the Deepwater Horizon regulatory reform efforts (and related hearings) conducted in the committee.

Science policy fellow sponsored by the American Geological Institute (W.L.Fischer 2006-2007 Science Policy Fellow). Employed on the US Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee (for Senator Jeff Bingaman, D-NM on the majority staff).

I worked on a range of technical issues - with a focus on petrophysics - supporting global Exploration and Development projects.
