Allyson Conklin Public Relations is a boutique public relations agency for brands in the beauty, lifestyle, and interior design spaces. Solely procured media coverage in consumer, national, regional, and online outlets which resulted in an advertising equivalency of over $60 million, including accolades such as Robb Report’s “Best of the Best" for Talisker, Talisker Club, and Talisker on Main. Planned and executed press, Sundance Film Festival, sales, and club member events, delivering influential audiences exposure to the brands. Provided copy for company materials so to establish a consistent voice. Implemented and managed unique social media campaigns to introduce a formerly private company online. Led marketing efforts such as photo shoots, sponsorship, strategic partnerships, and the development of the annual strategy and budget, which promoted brand integrity and corporate well being, as well as reinforcing marketing policies and goals that contributed to a successful corporate environment.

Placed stories via pitching and general outreach, with a focus on new product launches (bi-annual), existing product lines, and talent (Color Creators and company executives) to reinforce brand position for Shiseido Cosmetics, Cle de Peau Beaute, and Zirh. Planned and executed New York Fashion Week related activities, including working backstage, facilitating interviews with editors and Color Creators, designer sponsorship, and VIP gifting to enhance brand presence with these audiences. Contributed to department copy creation while evaluating messaging and tone for brand consistency. Creation and management of in-house makeup artist and celebrity product request programs for strategic partnerships and product placement.

Advertising sales support in the jewelry, fashion, retail, beauty, and non-endemic categories for a fashion and luxury lifestyle magazine. Participated in the process of selling advertising space that resulted in the largest year of sales (2006) and the launch of the annual Art issue. Prepared competitive insights for both advertising and editorial paging, which was presented to clients as a compelling case for advertising in the magazine. Collaborated extensively with the Marketing and Art Departments on added value events to initiate partnerships between the magazine’s influential partners and its advertisers.

Fashion journalism for a business-to-business footwear publication. Contributed products and key credit information for Women’s Wear Daily’s “Ultimate Accessories Guide," the fashion daily’s bi-annual “hot list” providing readers with the upcoming season’s must-buys. Fact checked stories written by the Fashion Director for accuracy. Management of the fashion database/market lists and samples to effectively streamline editorial processes. Execution of still life photo shoots with staff and freelance photographers with both up-and-coming and established footwear designers.
