Interruptions: Disrupting the Silence, LLC exists to engage diverse communities in discussions that dismantle the crippling stigmas in society, their cultures, and faiths. Through the company’s Let’s Talk: Peer-to-Peer Emotional Wellness program, Interruptions focuses on facilitating relevant dialogues regarding mental health, trauma, faith, and emotional wellbeing.

- Managed logistics of the Let's Talk Peer-to-Peer Mental Health program- Supported Interruptions President with planning, project task management, and program execution- Identified relevant community mental health resources to support program participants- Utilized skills in program development, social media, and design (e.g., Canva)

-Conducted mental health triage, evaluation, brief telephone assessments, individual therapy, outreach and crisis intervention-Created and co-led a Women of Color discussion group-Created a “Help the Helper” initiative which provides consultation to upperclassmen facilitating First Generation-Low Income and Womxn of Color peer support groups- Participate weekly in the “Let’s Talk” program that grants easy access to informal counseling services to underserved members of the university community

- Provided weekly individual therapy for a caseload of 15-20 undergraduate and graduate students from diverse backgrounds utilizing a brief treatment psychodynamic perspective- Delivered weekly group psychotherapy, and on-call/crisis intervention services - Supervised one psychology practicum student weekly (one semester)- Received specialized training in outreach, program development, and administration

- Taught multiple sections of a New Student Seminar course that equipped students with the knowledge and skills to be successful in college

- Provided academic and career counseling to students who were either new, on academic probation, or recently reinstated into the college after suspension

- Provided students with personal, career, academic, and transfer counseling.- Created and conducted psychoeducational workshops about topics such as stress management, time management, and study skills.- Taught a New Student Seminar course that provided students with the knowledge and skills to be successful in college. Students were encouraged to start self- and career-exploration as well as academic planning and advisement.

- Led group therapy sessions on Adult and Adolescent inpatient units about topics such as self-awareness, relapse prevention, and mood regulation- Provided individual therapy to adults in Partial Hospitalization Program and inpatient unit- Assisted at affiliated outpatient health center in conducting late-phase clinical trials with individuals with schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and major depressive disorder.
