SocialMedia.org is the community for social media leaders at the world's greatest brands. As a Board Member, I represent our company in high-level, confidential discussions with other senior leaders at major organizations.

I am responsible for all social media, influencer and public relations strategies for the Business Machines Group, including products, solutions and services for the B2B, B2C and Electronic Stationary groups.

I was responsible for global strategic public relations and brand management for the TOEFL and TOEIC programs. I managed agencies in countries around the world, including China, Korea, India, Japan, Australia, Vietnam, Indonesia and Turkey. Together, we developed strategies and tactics to elevate our brands with test takers and institutions. I also worked closely with our corporate spokesperson on crisis communications.

In just under a year, I implemented processes, provided senior-level guidance on our earned communications strategy and began working to better message for the organization, both internally and externally. I developed and executed the earned and digital communications strategies at NADA’s annual convention, the largest industry event in the country.I was responsible for the content marketing strategy, including overseeing the development white papers and monthly reports, managing two blogs and promoting the work of the analysis team across various channels. I was wholly responsible for media relations, including building and maintaining media lists, forming relationships with key media contacts, setting up and managing relevant subscriptions, writing and publishing press releases, managing annual press conference and pitching story placements.I also managed the social media strategy, including content, engagement and advertising on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.

I provided clients with strategic communications guidance and a variety of tactics, spanning from grassroots campaigns to implementing social media strategies. I supported clients’ needs with both traditional and new media strategies, including targeted media relations outreach and building and maintaining online presences.Day-to-day, I managed a variety of accounts including Microsoft TAP and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. I worked on rebranding projects and developed creative and copy for digital advertising campaigns. She developed the key contacts program for the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), enhancing the communications strategy for the internal team and increasing the overall activity of key contacts. Additionally, I managed a quarterly publication for the Forum for Innovation, formerly the National Chamber Foundation, as well as the annual report for the Institute for 21st Century Energy.

Strategic guidance and account management for various clients

As an intern at J&J, I worked on a range of projects, such as maintaining the internal employee portal, overseeing The Pharma Frontier, a corporation-wide magazine, and building relationships with local media. I spent much of my time writing and editing, as well as planning events, including both internal communications events, like company announcements, and external events, like awards dinners.
