I worked as a cashier at a retail job for around two and a half years. At this job I encountered many people such as customers and coworkers. The environment was very fast paced but I loved the challenge. I wanted to be the best and most efficient cashier. I would often get compliments for my speed and how kind I was to customers. I would also train new employees on the register so I responsible for new hires. I was also promoted to head cashier which meant I directed cashiers to specific roles and had extra oversight of the money in the registers. I now work at an after school child care where I work with kids ranging from 5-11 years old. This job holds many new challenges as I am overseeing 20-35 kids with my co-workers. Children are unpredictable at times which means I always need to be aware of my surroundings and their needs. I am currently looking for accounting internships for next fall 2024 and next spring 2025. I am currently in my third year at NKU and I am involved in two clubs. I take school very seriously in order to earn scholarships and to stay on the Dean's List. I hope to find a part time internship so I can graduate on time and get hands on experience in the accounting field. I am open to either tax or audit opportunities.
