I have held several positions as an event staff and manager within the company. I haveworked with a wide arrange of international business clients, as well as local clients. From idea conception to execution, we have produced multiple events such as Interstellar Rodeo Vip Lounge, First Contact Facebook Live Event, Canada Day 150 VIP Lounge, Gimli Film Festival, and many more. My duties included but were not limited to creating event schedules, supply lists, delegating essential tasks to event staff, dealing with caterers and outside contractors.

The Ma Mawi Wi Chi Itata Centre is an Indigneous-led, family resource organization delivering community-based programs and services. My current position within the company is Communications and Events oordinator. In my position, I faciliate, organize and plan events within the community, as well as handle day to day marketing and communications throughout the centre. The organization has over 50 programs, and 16 sites.

I helped build the spa & salon from the ground up. At Meaza, I was the first person hired. I was in charge of hiring and training all staff, creating workplace policies, creating employee schedules, placing all orders, designing the space, creating profit margins, bookkeeping, inventory, payroll and all accounting for the spa, all while managing 15 staff. I also hired and worked closely with a social media manager and helped facilitate advertising.

Overseeing all things Guest Experience related! Directed massage therapy department, esthetic department and customer service department, with over 75 people reporting to me. Weekly communication with corporate office to set internal goals and ensure they are being reached by my teams. Weekly meetings with customer service managers, supervisors and lead esthetician to distinguish brand standards and sales goals. Retraining of managers and customer service team to create a ‘5 star experience’. Travel to corporate office for additional training. Completing monthly inventory and placing all Massana orders. Working closely with the General Manager and Director of Food and Beverage to communicate and create new experiences for guests.

While managing over 50 staff members, duties included but were not limited to scheduling all massage therapists, estheticians, housekeeping, and front desk staff. Managing and maintaining all social media platforms. Completing bi-weekly and monthly product inventory and placing product orders. Ensuring all responsibilities of the spa team were being met to spa standards. Performing all hiring and training of new employees. I also completed bi-weekly payroll and was the first point of contact to all employees and upper management. I dealt with all client concerns and emails and scheduled all group bookings.
