Success for All is an evidence-based whole school improvement programme, specifically targeted at improving children’s literacy. It is a not for profit organisation with an annual turnover of around £1.2 million. Reporting directly to, and working closely with, the CEO I managed a team of three and had dotted line responsibility for 9 consultants in the field; I played an active role in every part of the organisation, including sales, marketing, pricing, product development and support services.Key Responsibilities and Achievements included:• Managing complex diary events for the CEO, including all external meetings with national and international partners and the USA based Group Board• Daily briefings with the CEO to discuss business planning• Developed systems to monitor and assess delivery and performance in all areas of the organisation• First point of contact both internally and externally• Developed and implemented marketing campaigns in partnership with the educational consultants• Proof-reading of all SfA materials • Organised and attended all SfA internal and external events such as open days, school visits and conferences• Working closely with the CEO, we turned the organisation from a £600k deficit into a £200k surplus in one financial year by effectively introducing and implementing robust procedures• Managed, coached and motivated the office team of three people• Saved in excess of £100K on printing costs in twelve months • Streamlined and improved the organisation’s operational processes in order to support better management, reporting and planning• Oversaw the development of new and re-written SfA materials• Produced a profitable and transparent pricing structure across 350 product lines• Developed a strategy to move the organisation from a Government and third party funded charity, to a commercial organisation which was self-supporting and financially stable• Managed the relocation of the office from York to Peterborough.
