    My current project involves developing a technique for electrochemical signal recovery from DNA-passivated Pt nanoparticles via nuclease digestion of surface-bound strands. Specifically, I am applying this concept of signal recovery for the detection of specific microRNAs using nanoparticle-based assays.I developed and characterized a technique for tuning the electrochemical response of single nanoparticle impacts on microelectrodes modified with polyelectrolyte films. I also studied the aggregation dynamics and colloidal stability of these nanoparticles to optimize reaction conditions and establish a correlation between colloidal behavior and signal frequency.I managed chemical waste and lab safety for entire research group. I also served as a Teaching Assistant for the analytical chemistry lab and graduate seminar course.
