Data911 makes hardware and software for police and public safety. I was the web developer for the Digital Video group, which made video recording devices for dashboard cameras, body-worn cameras, and interview rooms.* Primary developer for Verus Server, a web-based digital video evidence repository currently used by police and fire departments across the USA* Developed browser-based playback of evidence that could play multiple video events in synchronization, and with real-time maps, bookmarks, accelerometer and other metadata* Designed a complete video pipeline including uploading, transcoding, archival, export, and expiration* Created tools to help automate the maintenance of these servers, which are usually kept in secure server rooms in police departments

Virage made a search engine for video collections. I designed web applications that could use videos from the search results of that engine, including a browser-based nonlinear video editing system that could export cutlists directly to video editing software.
