When I arrived the system was not reliable, often resulting in trains not running. I volunteered to do technical work reverse engineering the original system and refurbishing or upgrading as needed. Within a few months the railroad was operating reliably.Along the way I evolved into the lead volunteer coordinating the work of the other volunteers and recruiting a new crew to keep the train room running. I have designed and documented procedures for train room operations and volunteer training. I have also developed a history document and technical documentation.
