Alma served from 2003 until 2006 as a Marketing Representative at “FI””, one of the first pharmaceutical distribution companies in post-war Kosovo. Based on her performance, she was promoted as the Managing Director of the company in 2006. Under this position, she managed to more than double the company’s sales and profits. In 2010, she considered that it was the right time to seek a new challenge and therefore, she started working as the Managing Director of another pharmaceutical distribution company named “Italmed”, for which she continues to work to this day. In nine years, she has successfully managed to increase the profit and sales of the company up to 1000%. By doing so, in less than a decade, “Italmed” has become a household name and one of the leading companies in the market. She attributes this success to her use of transformational leadership approaches and the ability to combine extrinsic and intrinsic motivators for her employees. Meanwhile, she has also founded two pharmaceutical distribution companies, named “IMD” in Albania, and “Luna Pharm” in Kosovo. Both companies have experienced double-digit growth figures each year since their foundation. All these three companies that she is currently affiliated with, are exclusive distributors of more than 20 international pharmaceutical manufacturers from Germany, Italy, Ireland, Portugal, Poland and more, all of which have some of the most reputable images in the whole industry.Living and working in a vastly patriarchal society such as Kosovo where less than 1% of leadership roles belong to women is quite challenging. Nevertheless, Alma believes that she has proven that she can succeed even in such a challenging environment for the last 15 years. Therefore, every pharmaceutical company but not only, that wants to expand in Kosovo and Albania will find a reliable, goal-oriented, and devoted partner in any of the three companies currently affiliated with Alma.
