I’m an experienced social worker with a diverse range of clients across the lifespan. I work with individuals, groups, and families and use evidence based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and narrative therapy. Some of my favorite work happened at Better Housing Coalition, with the aging population (ranging from ages 55 to end-of-life). I have the ability to discern internal processing while working on a continuum of person-centered analysis. In assessing the whole environment of the person, I help clients address needs from a multifaceted perspective. My previous work at Central State Hospital as a group facilitator and therapist for individuals coping with severe mental illness, including the Not Guilty By Reason of Insantiy (NGRI) population, is when I found my interest and calling to work with those struggling with trauma disorders.Now, as an independent psychotherapist, I am able to combine evidence-based therapies, my Certified Trauma Specialist (CTS) background, and experience with those in the cycle of poverty living in affordable housing to best aid clients in finding hope, acknowledging their resiliency, and beginning a healing journey.
