With a passion for social innovation and impact, she is a master at turning ideas into action by bringing diverse groups of people together to tackle complex and challenging global issues. Whether creating market-driven solutions to reduce homelessness and mental health with Pay for Success, a more than $20 million project in Santa Clara County, or engaging former heads of states on global leadership & ethics, she is an inspiring social change agent.In 2010, Almaz founded African Diaspora Network (ADN) to facilitate direct collaboration with social entrepreneurs, innovators, and business leaders to invest and improve the lives of people on the continent and the communities we live in. Under her leadership and vision, ADN is a premier convener of African Diaspora Investment Symposium (ADIS) and runs two accelerator programs: ABLE and BAF. Currently, she is fundraising and developing strategies to provide access to capital to black entrepreneurs and innovators. Negash served on the UN Economic Commission for Africa, High Level Panel on Migration and Immigration. Recently, she served as an Executive in Residence, School of Global Innovation & Leadership, Lucas College of Graduate Business, SJSU. She serves on the Board of Mandalay Holdings, Singapore based company, Eastside Education Foundation, and African Diaspora Network. Almaz speaks and writes on many subjects, including ESG, Social Innovation and Impact, Entrepreneurship, Strategic Partnership Development, Diversity and Inclusion, and Social Responsibility.
