The Central America and Caribbean (CCA) Cluster Controller is responsible for protecting the franchise by managing controls over financial reporting - including local and US regulatory, tax, and internal management reports as well as other corporate and "stand-alone" financials in the region. The Cluster Controller partners with Accounting Policy, Product Control, Tax , Product Controllers, Legal Vehicle Controllers and Financial Reporting Operations to oversee all Citi legal entities in the region. Position reports to the LATAM Regional Franchise Controller and currently has ~ 80 employees in 9 locations. Significant business activity in the cluster includes: Real Estate Lending, Commercial Lending, Consumer Finance, Global Transaction Services, Securities and Banking and Corporate activities (including Equity Compensation, Pensions). Responsibilities include:-Establish and maintain internal controls over financial reporting, including documented processes and systems incorporating controls to produce accurate financial data and provide for the safeguarding of assets.-Monitor controls, including procedures to verify that controls are in place and functioning, follow-up and corrective action on control findings, and periodic certification processes by constituent units as appropriate.-Ensure that financial reporting is in compliance with U.S. generally accepted accounting principles and regulatory accounting guidelines and is completed in a timely and accurate manner, including oversight of the operational aspects of newly introduced accounting policy changes.-Managing and comply with Citigroup Policies and Finance Directives, including but not limited to the Legal Vehicle Management Policy, Accounting Policy Manual and Balance Sheet Directive.-In coordination with Corporate Reporting and KPMG, participate in the execution of the legal vehicle audited financials.
