- Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Central Chemical Receiving Facility (CCRF) within EH&S Division and Research Support Team.- Oversee daily operations of the Chemical Management System (CMS), including hazard classification, inventory validation, and report generation.- Facilitate coordination between researchers and safety coordinators for chemical reconciliation.- Provide user support and training*l on CMS, RFID devices, and mobile systems.- Collaborate with lab researchers and principal investigators on chemical inventory management, including input, hazard classification, and reconciliation.- Assist with RFID implementation and chemical container tracking.- Support chemical labeling, segregation, and storage practices, focusing on time-sensitive chemicals.- Work with Chemical Hygiene Officer and research staff on high-hazard chemical identification and disposal.- Execute chemical receiving tasks, including inspection, RFID tagging, and entry into CMS.- Conduct program assurance reviews to assess CCRF effectiveness and validate data integrity.- Collaborate with Division Safety Coordinators (DSC), safety committees, researchers, and building managers to resolve inventory issues.- Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and policies for chemical handling to enhance safety.- Contribute to the development of a chemical safety website.- Identify chemical hazards, promptly notify **Security, Emergency Services (SES), and the Fire Marshal** for safety measures.- Lead a team for lab-wide chemical reconciliations, resolving discrepancies and ensuring compliance.- Support the design and planning of the permanent CCRF facility.- Assist with the Respiratory Protection Program, including conducting training, performing respiratory fit tests, and entering results in CHESS reports.
